As Co-Founder and CEO, Alex has both a strong business and technical background. Together with Dimi Alex has already brought to the market a number of online services, widely used by Canadians including interactive peer-to-peer insurance premium benchmarking service InsurEye Price Comparison. Alex spent over five years in a management consulting company “The Boston Consulting Group” in various positions in Europe and North America. His areas of expertise are Financial Services (insurance in particular) and IT / Operations. Alex was closely involved in the development of multiple multi-channel studies and research on trends, consumer behaviour, and IT-enabled innovation.
His prior positions where predominantly in high-tech / IT areas of automotive companies such as BMW Group and DaimlerChrysler where Alex dealt mainly with innovation, IT strategy, and process consulting topics.
Alex earned a MBA (Master of Business Administration) from the international Business School “College des Ingénieurs” (Germany, France, and Switzerland) and an MSc MechE degree in Product Development, Mechatronics, and Astronautics fromTechnical University of Munich in Germany.
As Head of Technology and Co-Founder, Dimi has a strong technical background extended through business knowledge. He has gained extensive industry experience in management and technology as a consultant with the company “Accenture”. Together with Alex he successfully brought to the market number of successful online services such as Independent Insurance Consumer Reviews and Credit Card Navigator. His main focus is IT strategy and architecture, innovation and SaaS. Dimi was closely involved in a number of different projects for financial services. One of his most exciting projects was a prototyping and development of a countrywide IT-enabled car insurance business model for a leading German insurance company.
Prior to that Dimi worked two years on innovation IT topics in the telecommunications area for high-tech companies such as Siemens. His solution for intelligent business process management had been patented in Europe and USA.
Dimi acquired an MBE (Master of Business Engineering in IT management) degree from biggest German private MBA/MBE school “Steinbeis”. He also holds a MSc. E.E. degree (focus on telecommunication technology) from Technical University of Munich in Germany, and an MSc E.E. in Optical Electronics from Moscow State Technical University n.a. Bauman in Russia.
As Head of Marketing and PR, Anastasia has nine years of experience in this area. Her career began in several PR agencies in Russia (e.g. Russian Media Group, Mikhailov and Partner and others) and where she was in charge of PR projects for such clients as “Xerox”, “PeopleSoft”, “NetCracker” (a subsidiary of NEC Corporation) and many others.
She also gathered a lot of experience in financial services managing PR projects in a large East-European insurance holding and later as the Head of PR and press division of large international financial group (KBC Group, Belgium) in Russia. She was responsible for KBC Group’s PR projects in Russia as well as event management for both external and internal communication. Being the Head of press office, Anastasia was responsible for all kinds of media relations (i.e. communicating, copywriting, press-conferences, special actions, roadshows etc). She also headed PR transformation projects with respect to company’s online strategy.
Prior to joining InsurEye, Anastasia worked as a freelancer leading online marketing projects for Microsoft and number of other well-known companies.
